Very disappointing stay. Know hotel well as stayed before it change to Le Roy. Always said we wouldn’t come back but gave it a second chance. It’s had a surface make over, bar moved to a better position and some wood detail added here and there . Rooms have been painted and all new soft furnishings . Furniture the same.
Reception staff are lovely and sorted out our numerous issues but we shouldn’t have had those issues.
Bed wasn’t changed for 8 nights and then only done after 2 visits to reception. Supposed to be changed every 3 days . This didn’t happen and had to report back to reception asking for it to be changed . Lazy housekeeping. Dust on the metal of the lamps, outside table not cleaned. Just general lack of care or interest. We lost power in our room one night about 11:30 pm. Only security were on duty. They organised a change of room for us about midnight. Thankfully we hadn’t had much rum !!! No acknowledgment from management or apology. No letter under the door to say our room had power back. Nothing.
No beach bed at 10am at hotel. Was told guests lie on them from 8am. Not good enough. It’s a beach front property that’s the attraction. Beds were provided when I complained but there was no umbrella available which was fine as we don’t use them. I questioned why they are selling day passes when guests of the hotel need them. Restaurant same old appalling service . 55 mins to get food places in front of you. Breakfast was like warm
