Arlo NoMad

The hotel rooms are clean but very, very small. You have to climb over someone if you are sharing a single bed. The shower and bathroom are very nice. The beds are comfy and the room is clean, but the rooms are TEENSIE!

I frequently travel to New York for work and struggle with finding a hotel that I like enough to stick with. This we my second stay at the Arlo NoMad and it was wonderful! Although the rooms are quite small, the floor to ceiling windows make up for it! Comfortable bed, great bath amenities, great location, automatic blackout curtains, in room steamer, and a super convenient cafe. My only complaint is how slow the elevator is. I look forward to my next stay!

I would give the Arlo Nomad a raving review if I hadn’t felt that the customer service was sub par when slyly charging my credit card not once but twice totaling near $300 in additional fees. What I mean by slyly is upon check in, no additional fees were mentioned when discussing my room and check in process. When I walked away, then my card was charged. Same thing happened upon check out. Upon inquiring the front desk to explain these fees I felt they were not upfront nor descriptive enough on what I was paying for. I still can’t tell you what I was charged this extra money for. When booking on the site I was charged daily additional fees so upon checking in and out I shouldn’t have been charged again. If I had known, I would have stayed elsewhere. Completely unprofessional. I will not be recommending this hotel to my colleagues.

The location and service is great. The rooms are also good. They are small but I knew that would be the case and it was fine. My only complaint is about the elevator service. The wait time for an elevator most times is excessively long. There are three elevators however one appears to only be used by service and therefore two elevators is not sufficient for the amount of rooms. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay very much.
