We arrived a little early to the resort but were told our room would be ready by 3pm. It was almost 4pm by the time it was ready. When we got to the room, we realised that the queen bed was actually a standard double.
The person who took us to our room advised us the mini bar would be filled around 5pm. It was never filled. We slept really badly the first few nights with lots of back pain. Eventually, we lifted the mattress to find various support slats were missing. After we reported this to reception, they had it repaired and we slept much better.
As we'd paid for The Level, we were advised on our second morning that we could alternate breakfasts at The Level breakfast in our resort and the one next door at melia llana. We did this and it was great, as it's an adults only hotel.
Sadly, on our last morning, they had introduced a new vip level, meaning we lost the right to this service. As such, I don't think I'd recommend paying extra for The Level for anyone thinking of going in future.
The food offering was very good - better than other all inclusive resorts I've been to. But we weren't advised to book restaurants in advance and, at the peak period of the year that is new year, we were only able to book the new year's eve night (which we did in advance) and one other included dinner.
The best thing about the resort is definitely the staff. They obviously really want to help and make sure you're having a good time. They go out of their way to be friendly and helpful.
