Sonesta Ocean Point All Inclusive, Adults Only Resort

Everything excellent. Only thing is they could have a dry rose and a sparkling wine on the complimentary wine list.

Property was absolutely gorgeous, staff were amazing and friendly. The food at their restaurant Azul was phenomenal! I will definitely return.

Had a great stay! The staff was excellent and catered to our needs during the pandemic. Wanted to get a way and it was well worth it.

Staff was hit or miss . House keeping was fabulous. Food was fair.

I don't have one negative thing to say about the Sonesta Ocean Point Resort. Friendly staff, great food, great drinks and a great room made for a great stay. I definitely want to come back to Sint Maarten and stay at the Sonesta.

Fortunately we only stayed one night before boarding a cruise ship. The room was nice (butler room facing the ocean and airport landing strip). To call this an adults only resort is a stretch. Kids and kids pool just feet away from "adult" area. We've stayed at a number of all inclusive resorts before, this one provided us with the worst food we have ever had at an all inclusive! Azul - their a la carte premier restaurant. The steak I order wasn't edible! The buffet was barely okay! We requested a late check out, from 11 am to 1 pm, two hours! Denied. Keep in mind that this butler room cost 816 US! Couldn't even give us an extra two hours! Only saw our butler at check in, he wasn't able to get us a late check out either (if he tried). Told us he would reserve to chairs by the pool under an umbrella for us. Couldn't find the sign he was supposed to post although other chairs had other guest names on them. All in all, I'd recommend selecting a different resort, especially if you're staying for a few days.

stayed at this property to start the 2020 yr off. I contacted the hotel several times before booking the room a months prior to my arrival to ensure my room had a balcony and a ocean view. When I arrived to the room, I immediately noticed my view is of a roof of another building. When I complained, I was told the hotel was fully booked and I had to deal with it essentially. I suggested that Sonesta rethink how they advertise that room, the deluxe suite should clearly indicate that the room has little to no views of the ocean. Also the should not be the same price as other rooms on the property as that room type is the worse on the property. It’s completely unfair for anyone to be randomly selected to have a less then desirable experience on the property then other guest. If you do still book there, make sure you do not accept any of the 02 rooms, you will be in the worse rooms and pay the same of others who have the deluxe jr suite.

I have talked until I was blue in the face Hotel staff, see attached document, it shows my reservation, booked for 7 nights 8days, your management and staff, keep telling me we were booked for 5 night 6 days, I showed them our reservation, they said they were sorry, they would move us to the same room on the 9th, I replied if it the same room why move us, they never gave us a reason, so they tried to move us to a mold and mildewed smelling pool room, cigarette butts in pool, I told them we could not sleep in that room with my breathing issues, so they moved us to a non pool room, no one ever offed compensation, I feel the way we were treated, is the worst we have ever been treated at any of the 100s of places we have stayed over the years, and I would think we are due some compensation, due to shear neglect your staff should us during our stay there, this section does not let me attach reservation.
