Homewood Suites Savannah Historic District/Riverfront

Great location, close to everything although Savannah is small enough nothing is really that far. Our check in was excellent and the front desk was always very friendly and kind no matter who was working there. The rooms were roomy. It didn't seem as clean as I would have liked, but it could be that it is just a little dated. I would stay there again.

Homewood is our go-to hotel for family trips. We loved this one in Savannah so much! The view of the river was incredible. Our son loved watching the boats go by. The valet workers and kitchen staff were so friendly with our kids and made it so fun for them! Especially Ms Pat in the kitchen - she brought them coloring pages and they had a great time talking with her. The room was very clean and we felt safe. The only thing I would change is the grab and go breakfast. Because of covid they just hand you a box of food to go, which would be fine except for those with food allergies. We can’t have gluten or dairy so we had to throw out the yogurt, cream cheese and bagels leaving us with only an orange and hard boiled eggs - which didn’t satisfy the hunger of growing boys so we did have to get breakfast elsewhere. Other than that, our stay was fantastic and we will surely be returning.

The hotel was very nice. It was clean, modern, and the suites very spacious. The staff had excellent customer service. The only negatives are - the ice machine on our floor didn't work, the bed was hard, and the "heated" pool was not warm enough to swim in. The valet was a nice touch - but for $35 a night, I expected nothing less.

Hotel was clean and location was good. Due to Covid, grab and go breakfast was horrible just bagel and yogurt. Toaster to heat up bagel did not work one morning. Preserved boiled eggs were out on certain days. With the hotel charging over $250 a night, at least breakfast could be offered with more choices. Parking was expensive at $35 a day.

The location was very good. Loved the rooftop bar and amenities (wine) that you could buy for very reasonable prices. The suite was spacious. Loved the full sized refrigerator and two burner stovetop.

Valet parking only!!! We were asked for a card for incidentals only, no mention of a $35 valet charge. For a Homewood Suites, the rooms were tiny and the walls were paper thin.
