We arrived to a warm welcome and a bottle of chilled prosecco in the garden. Villa Leonati is set on the outskirts of Padua near the motorway. Don't let this put you off. The house is full of all kinds of art, paintings, bronzes, marbles. ceramics, furniture and much much more. Our room was characterful and spotless with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was served in the salon accompanied by music, candle light and a roaring fire. We were driven to the tram stop and picked up there after our visit to the city. The owners were kind and gracious and we loved it. If you prefer the facilities at a boring standard hotel, this is not for you. However if you enjoy art, old houses, a lovely garden and thoughtful hosts you might like this.
