Sahara Motels

We had room 7 in the main house. It could be a great room but needs a complete refurbishment. The bed was so soft you just rolled into the middle, so not the best nights sleep. The weather was good so did not have to stop in the room. There was a main lounge with a kitchen where you could make a cup of tea or coffee. We didn't pay a lot of money for the room but it was one of the worse we had stayed in over the 4 weeks we were travelling.

Friendly service. Older style but well maintained and clean.

The staff were all helpful and friendly, the room was large but dated but had everything you needed. Laundry facilities were free which was great since we were on a 3week trip. Located close to downtown but also close to Otago University.

Close to town centre and nice guest lounge. Wifi a bit weak in room.

Very old, room and bed, no shower, owner tried to charge a higher price...

The staff there were very helpfull. When I was told that I had to leave my dogs inside my truck because no animals were allowed in the guest house I asked to up grade. This was done at a very good price and allowed me to have my dogs inside. A huge thank you to the staff. They also helped me find my way around Dunedin. Would stay again if they would have me and my dogs.

I canot beleive they are allowed to operate the guest house. The lights above the bed were down to the wires, no electrical test tags. The paint was falling off the ceiling. The carpet was horifically stained and ancient, the bed covers should have been thrown out 30 years ago and nothing felt clean...the old musty smell was awful, and to top it off there was no hot water to shower in the ensuite! When complained to staff on check out that there was no hot water, care factor was zilch no offer of discount! #cantbeleivehaventbeencloseddown.
