MangleX Eco Hotel Tulum

While Tulum continues to grow and develop Manglex is still true to its beginning. It did not bother me, but noticed generators running during sleeping hours from nearby facilities. That includes their fumes and sound. The staff here is top notch. Marisa explained everything in detail well. The Cenote to swim in is delightful. January visit rarely a mosquito in sight and we never used repellant. Bikes were used to nearby beach - greatly appreciated.

Horrible hotel.

This place is so magical! It's an eco hotel, so anyone who is more into a "traditional" hotel experience this may not be the place for you. But it you've ever wanted to experience nature without giving up ALL the amenities this place is perfect. The staff is insanely helpful too! We loved having access to the private cenote out back and enjoying some wine on the dock at night. The free kayaks, paddle boards and snorkel gear are a big plus too! We checked out bikes 2 of the days and loved exploring Tulum along with some staff recommendations.

We loved MangleX. It is a beautiful space in the jungle with a semi-private cenote and easy beach access through a hotel across the street. You get to pay much less than a beach-side hotel, but with the beauty of the mangroves and gorgeous private cabanas. Note that there isn’t electricity during the day, there is no phone service and WiFi only in the lobby. There are lots of bugs and no AC. But, the employees are incredibly friendly, kind, and helpful (Spanish speaking). Breakfast is delicious, drinking water is always available. Stay if you want a romantic low-fi spot that’s affordable, sweet, and beautiful.

I loved being on our own private cenote. I loved waking up to breakfast It really created a very home space for me. The beds are extremely comfortable Definitely could upkeep with the mosquito nets on the windows and the little cracks where the mosquitoes would get in. I am definitely going to stay here again

Absolutely enjoyed and loved the eco friendly environment and location. Another huge plus was the amazing staff, especially Fernando. Loved his helpful, friendly personality and knowledge about local recommendations in the area. Was able to disconnect (no cellphone service, only WiFi in reception area) and enjoy nature, a light breakfast, reasonable bike rental, and organic toiletries. The bungalow was very clean and super cute layout with all necessities. Would've loved a bigger fan and ice machine in reception area. On-site Cenote was cool, but backed off free kayaking or paddle boarding due to Caymans and alligators in water.

Lovely to have the Cenote behind the property. Nice to have kayaks to use to explore. Not so great that there is no food available at all other than breakfast. We arrived at 11pm and couldn’t even get a beer as the closest bar is 10 mins walk away and they’d closed. Not great that there is no electricity until 6pm as it’s difficult to get dressed and ready in the dark.
