The Surfjack Hotel & Swim Club

It’s a boutique hotel with a good location; easy walk to the beach and the shops in Waikiki. They maintain the place very well and it is very clean. Staff is friendly and they have made it about as nice as possible given it, and pretty much all the similar places in that part of Waikiki, are 50+ years old. We first were assigned a very small room which did not have a nice/decent view and we were not too happy with that, so we upgraded to a 1br suite for only $30/night and it was MUCH nicer. We received a set of fresh towels daily which is very nice. Our room had a little balcony with a small table and 2 chairs which I used nightly, enjoying the breeze, and our room could see the Ala Wei canal and mountain/city lights. Most rooms do not have that view. The bed was a large king, very comfortable. The bathroom with large and it had a large, upgraded shower with plenty of hot water. Parking in that area is non-existent but they give you free access to a nice garage about 2 blocks away. Our friends staying elsewhere paid $35/night just to park. The pool is clean and attractive and the pool area is nice to sit at and enjoy a morning coffee; there is a coffee shop attached to the property. There is a bar on property but we were out and about elsewhere every evening. It’s not a Ritz resort but given how nice it is, how clean, the great location, and the chill vibe of the place, I really liked it and the price was well worth it. Would stay again for sure

Retro feel and short walk to Beach and shopping. Rooms were comfortable and clean

Upon arriving, the employees were very welcoming and helpful. The check in desk is outdoor so it’s a bit warm. Our room was very tidy and the layout is very charming. Definitely felt the surf vibe of it. The view from the balcony was amazing as well! Really was content with everything, the only off side to our stay was having to park far(but it’s only because of Co-vid) and the noise kind of echoes in the hallways. Other than that, it was a great staycation!

Wow. I felt like a millennial again. :). Refurbished. Great location. Great staff. Vet clean and well managed. Upgraded us to one bedroom suite during Covid. Exceptional pool. Fun place. Great value. Restaurant and bar on site. Also great little coffee shop.

I really liked the shower and the way the room was designed very relaxing & calming setting .i really enjoyed my stay.Tiki at the front desk has a wonderful personality and makes guest feel very welcomed.Great place to stay

From the chill vibe of the lobby to entering the room everything was awesome. I love the flooring in the hallways. I wish I had that shower setup in my house! Convenient location. Biki right in front got me around easily.

the staff was so awesome! so sweet! there were no hidden fees! i’m a slight germaphobe, so of course i wiped everything down with clorox wipes and wore shower shoes, but that’s just for my own sanity! but the place itself was clean! no stains on the sheets or random hairs anywhere!

The staff was wonderful, the decor fit the Hawaiian theme of the island, the room was very clean and cozy, and the pool was awesome.

Mostly great but would add a few things to make it excellent. Great service, great vibe, many perks like beach chairs, mid century map of the neighbourhood, etc, but a few things to make it more comfortable would include better pillows, better toilet paper.

The vibe of the property was fun and hip. The walls are paper thin. I could hear people in the adjacent rooms clipping their nails and talking. On the weekends, loud guests make a ton of noise all hours of the night in the lobby: which all the rooms overlook. Our rooms lanai (balcony) overlooked a parking lot and another apartment building. We did enjoy the happy hour and the live music in the evenings. The adjoining coffee shop was top notch. We also appreciated the beach chairs provided. Overall a pleasant stay.
