We walk in and the first thing the receptionist says was “because you booked last minute, we don’t have your room available.” I inquired whether the receptionist was blaming us, and she insisted that she was not, but again, reiterated, that because we booked last minute the room we wanted, a king bed with a bridge view, wasn’t available. oK, she stated that there were no other rooms with a king bed and a view and we could not be upgraded due to the hotel being full capacity, but offered a room with the same view we had but with two queen beds. We agreed. We get to the room, the view is of the Statue of Liberty and harbor (cheaper room) and two full beds instead of queens. We came back, stated that the beds were not queen, to which she replied that they were “two beds” as she promised. I asked for the manager, receptionist went to the back and said the Manager isn’t available but a room with a king bed and a view is available after all. We agreed, got to the room, it’s the same room with two full beds on a different floor. At this point we are agitated, we walk back downstairs and before we even get to the reception the receptionist says “let me guess, you don’t like this room either.” , and we ask her what type of room she gave us. She says a room with one bed and a view. I say no, this is a two bed room. She then states, fine “I’ll get you a one bed room and you’ll be fine.” At this point the manager interjects and attempts to resolve things. We texted valet twice, nothing.

Amazing Experience
Used this hotel for my engagement and it was perfect. Stayed in the skyline suite and the views were outstanding. The room was gorgeous, the whole hotel was stunning. The aesthetic was amazing and everyone was nice and friendly and extremely helpful. One of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had.

Hotel was great but staff were not very friendly. Kept me on hold forever when I tried to call them and got forwarded to two different people before they declined my request to check in an hour earlier.Ofcourse late check out by an hour was also declined.

This is by far one of the best hotels in NYC. It over looks the Statue of Liberty, Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge.

View was great. I just loved all the decorations and themes. It smelled really good everywhere you go especially in the elevator. I will definitely visit again.

The property grounds are well kept. The Amenities were great, staff was great. The bed had several stains I noticed. Not the bedding but the actual bed & mattress cover. Glad I bought my own bedding to use.

Significant other and i decided to go somewhere for a night, not too far from home, for a pretend getaway. And I must say, i could not have been more pleased. The location is amazing and the views are breathtaking. However, even more outstanding was the service! Catherine was at the front desk that evening and she was the best host anyone could ask for. She was kind, receptive and knowledgable. If i were you id check when she's working and go on that day! LOL! 10/10 thanks for a great time!
