Estancia Bohemia

The people that work in Café Bohemia was fantastic with us during all our stay there, mainly the Manager Jose and the waiter Eduardo, really lovely people, very friendly and profissional, I hardly recommend to stay there !!! I wish back soon to Havana and for sure we will stay there again !!!

Very nice and warm hotel. The street to go to hotel is a walking street, no taxi or car access. You have to walk to hotel. Streets are not good. The room is located on upstairs.

What a gorgeous little place in the centre of the old square in Havana. The only issue was trying to locate the property, so it should be noted that it’s part of the Cafe Bohemia in Plaza Veija, once you know that, it’s easy to find! We had a small room at the back of the cafe courtyard which was perfect, clean and comfortable and just what you need. The breakfast included is provided by the cafe and was delicious (try the guava juice with black pepper) we had an early checkout on the Sunday and they made us some sandwiches to take with us as we would miss breakfast, which was a lovely touch! They also arranged out transfer back to our hotel in the Cayos. Would absolutely stay here again, perfect!

The room type, description and photos are not as described. There is not street view, no living room, the room and bathroom are very small and inside of an apartment and you live with the owner, this is not a hotel, hostel or anything like that. I assume there are better options within this building, but the one I stayed is not what you spect when you are paying 100 CUC per night. I tried to cancel the reservation I made 15 minutes before and the manager said it was impossible and I would loose all my money, really not professional.

Sonia is a lovely host (she speaks little English so if you speak some Spanish this a bonus) she works closely with Annalisa the Cafe manager who speaks good English and is extremely helpful and knowledgeable of the ares. She provided several great recommendations for dinner and helped us with calling to make reservations. The flat we stayed is not wheelchair accessible and the stairs to the room is tiny and curves around so not great if you have large suitcases (the men in the cafe assisted me and my friend with our suitcases). The room is meant to be cleaned everyday - this did not happen which was a disappointment.
