"Salvator at the front desk was very professional and personable. Property is very nice with large rooms and cooking option if you choose to cook. Many restaurants within a few blocks to walk to though..and the Hotel has a very good dinner as well. Good location to take in the western Algarve towns."

"Great staff and the main pool was the main attraction. We were a group of 20 people staying in a mix of 2 bed apartments. All the rooms were good, clean and had everything you needed. We didnt need to fight for loungera in the morning but most people were quite quick to place towels. Some of the pool area had tiles that could do we replacing and some of the bridges needed attention. The Cool Bar by the pool was great for drinks, ice creams etc. The breakfast was always good, attentive staff....

"Overall the hotel and location were excellent, all the staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. We loved our room with our balcony overlooking the lake and river, we sat watching the birds every morning and evening. There were a few minor things that could be simply changed that would improve the stay, coffee in the room would be great, even if it were just sachets. We had to ask for sugar and toilet rolls to be topped up. At breakfast many of the breakfast items weren’t topped up regularly...

"Lovely staff, nice campsite but dirt track/ road in and out of campsite not so good. Lots of potholes. Arrival at reception was fine, staff friendly and helpful but they only take cash so we couldn't pay our bill by credit card. Then when we had drinks at the pool bar, they didn't take cash so we had to walk all the way to reception to pay for them. Seemed a bit strange! Surroundings are lovely, farm animals, beautiful pool and very relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely return. Great for...

"My wife and I finished off a 12 day Portugal trip with a two night stay at Vila Alba. Very relaxing. She enjoyed a massage at the spa. I relaxed at the salt water, infinity pool. We ate all our meals, but for one local beach lunch, at the resort. All the meals were well prepared and the buffet breakfast had a lot of variety. Local see walk has great vistas. "

"This is a very beautiful location. Be sure to get a room with ocean view, the view is beautiful. Casabela feels like it has seen better days. But there is so much to like here. The breakfast quality is only mediocre and the sound insulation between rooms is not good. But if you have a bit of a sense of adventure, this is well worth a look"
