Waikiki Village Retro Hotel

Yoooooooo! 137 yards to the beach, sits a hidden jewel, that’s super clean, styled nice, with a really friendly staff! HI TIM! Don’t be fooled by the “Cheesey Motel” look. Once you get inside it adds to the charm....trust me. All the rooms have a balcony with comfortable retro style seating. Mine overlooked the pool/hot tube area that makes you feel like your in an 80s movie about the 60s. They have the modern downstairs get what you need store, WiFi was fast, and again it’s clean, and the staff is cool. Parking was right outside my room and well lit. The beds felt like the ones at the Shareaton(IYKYK). Bathroom was nice with the non slip rock floor, and barn door, and they use high quality soap and shampoo. You won’t miss the ocean view. I’ll be back soon!

I love this hotel! There are so many little details that make it stand out and above the others- k-cups in every room, hot tub, unique color choices, availability of the service desk that is open 24 hours and IT’S BUDGET FRIENDLY!!! I’ve stayed several times, loved each one, and it remains one of my favorite hotels!👍😇👍

Cute place and small enough that u don't have to walk a mile like all the resorts in the area. Definitely will stay here again

I almost don't want to leave a good review because I would LOVE to keep this place a secret. We had a HORRIBLE experience at another hotel and literally booked last minute here. I have never been so happy. The night manager on duty when we checked in is AMAZING!!! She really made us comfortable and helped us out. The rooms and property are absolutely adorable and I loved it. We spent half the day at the beach and the other half at the pool on property. 10 out of 10 will stay here again.

Very nice hotel located just across the street from the beach, super close to the airport and not far from the boardwalk area. Lots of breakfast restaurants nearby.

Stayed here in july 2019 and the room was clean and nicely updated. But july 2020, the rooms have not been kept up and it shows. Floors made my skin crawl. Due to covid there is no housekeeping which is understandable. But make sure you bring your own toilet paper and broom with you. The door has a gap space on the bottom so the bugs that crawled under the door were our third roommates. Sadly we wont be staying here again. Positives: staff is very friendly. Easy walk to beach. Directly on ocean drive.

After seeing the pictures I was so excited to stay at this little gem.... the rooms are old and smell and noise travels. The decor is cute but housekeeping needs to spend a couple extra minutes cleaning the rooms. Also I know it’s the beach and bugs get in but two roaches one was wrapped up in our clean towel from housekeeping. If cleaned up a bit it would be nice but overall not too shabby I’ve seen worse.

On arrival the night manager had no info about discounts on activities in the area for staying there. Our room was very clean on arrival but there was no turn down service so the week we were there cleaning was our responsibility. You could take your towels to the lobby to swap for new ones. We twice had people enter our room while we were in it.. First to spray for bugs then some random guy who had access to all the rooms and was never explained who he was. The place was mostly empty but they were very strict about pool times. They advertise bocce ball courts but while there they weren't available for use. Cute concept and nice view of the ocean. Quality TVs, and beds, but awful pillows.
