Wine & Books Porto Hotel - Small Luxury Hotels of the World
10/10 Excellent
"The staff was friendly, courteous & helpful throughout our stay. We were welcomed with a complimentary glass of wine upon arrival.
Our double superior room with a balcony was well appointed, clean and very comfortable. The balcony was large, but the view could’ve been better. The placement of the glass shower within the room’s living space, rather than the bathroom, was somewhat odd to us and could be uncomfortable depending upon one’s travel companion and the lack of privacy, but we got used to it.
The location of the hotel was great!
Overall, we had a great stay and would definitely stay at one of the Wine & Books properties again based upon our recent experience.

InterContinental Porto - Palacio das Cardosas by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"Despite being on a main square and in the midst of the ubiquitous construction all over Porto the hotel is a quiet haven, close to major sites and across the street from a main train station so it was very convenient. The staff are all great and it is very clean and quiet "
"We loved this hotel! My friend stayed her and told us we needed to book here for our trip…and we are so glad we did. We had the best sleep. Beds were so comfy and it was quiet! It was a little walk or taxi to the main sights but it was definitely worth it for the views and the quiet staying on the Gaia side. The rooftop patio was the icing on the cake! Thanks to all staff who were so lovely and professional."
