Very good location, just 10 min from the train station or the city center including the Hahnenkamm ski lift, but taxi to the lift is available from 8:30 to 10:30 as a courtesy. The hotel located below the castle and next to Inn’s review. All their hotel room are named after cities of the world. Love the bed. Hotel room clean. Do take note that rooms that facing the street/city is a bit noisy toward midnight. The windows are sound proof, but if you want the outside cold air, you need to open the window to enjoy the natural air...

"We stayed at Hotel der Bar for 4 nights for a wedding. The hotel staff were very helpful and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. We had friends at different hotels in Ellmau but ours was the nicest of the bunch. We would definitely come back and stay here and would recommend it.

"Last year same time (Oktoberfest) we tried to book this hotel, was fully booked. We come again this year and book 2 months ahead… we got it.
The hotel located below the castle and next to Inn’s review. All their hotel room are named after cities of the world. Love the bed. Hotel room clean. Do take note that rooms that facing the street/city is a bit noisy toward midnight. The windows are sound proof, but if you want the outside cold air, you need to open the window to enjoy the natural air con. Happy with the stay. Will come again "
