The Charles E. Conrad Mansion is a historical Victorian era shingle-style Norman mansion located in Kalispell, Montana. It was designed by the noted Spokane, Washington, architect Kirtland Cutter. It was the home of Charles E. Conrad, a late 19th century shipping magnate and early pioneer of Kalispell. The style of the architecture is a revivalist version of the vernacular farmhouse style of the architecture of Normandy in France, rather than the version of Romanesque architecture called "Norman architecture". Construction of the home began in 1892 and it was completed in November 1895. (June 2019)

My Place Hotel - Kalispell MT

8/10 Good
"The advertising is misleading. I booked a “room with a view” but “the view was of a car wash, a dog groomers and a dental business. Having a view just meant being on the top floor. The business center was one of the main reasons I booked there but the business center was a desk in the front lobby with a computer and a printer. When I used the printer it ran out of ink and there wasn’t a replacement cartridge. It also had a kitchenette which was great but you have to pay extra for pots, pans, dishes and silverware. That being said. The place is nice. They did a good job on the remodel. I was comfortable, the staff were friendly and I felt safe in the area. There’s a nice patio out back with a BBQ and picnic tables and there’s a very nice walking path which I found to be peaceful and very pleasant. There are no lights along the path so if that’s not your thing then it’s best to use it during daylight hours."
