The room itself was good. We were in room #2 and it was very bright plus being closest to the office and laundry room it was loud. Just alot of traffic around those frount rooms. We'll stay there again but will ask for rooms 7 and up.

The room was very clean, however the bed was a little hard & the pillows were flat. The bathroom was small & when the light was turned on it would flicker & go out, but if you turned it off & back on it would stay on. The staff was very friendly. Over all it's a cute retro motel.

Good place for the money, great location etc. My only complaint was the room must not be well insulated because it was loud at night. Could hear everything the neighbors were doing and it’s by a busy street so constantly heard traffic.

The room was clean, but it had a terrible smell. I felt nauseous by it. The water was horrible, it smelled as well and it was yellowish, left my hair feeling hard and dry and stinky. First and last time I stay there.

This is an old motel. Period. Very outdated. Smells musty. Bedding and towels were clean. Gentleman at desk was very nice and made sure you had all the info needed. Convenient to downtown Galena. Very near the highway - so if you're not good with traffic noise, not your place. Pool looked ok, we did not use. Next time I think I would spend the extra for a different place, but it was a place to stay and shower.

Motel is nostalgic. We didn’t get to use the pool but it did look good. It’s a throwback in time which made it fun. The room itself very musty, old cracks in ceiling and mold on walls throughout room And bathroom. The mustiness lingers on our clothing and what we brought with. Bed mattress a bit soft and lumpy for my liking as well as the pillow. I guess it’s due to being so nostalgic. Overall it worked out great for an overnight sleep. They also had a satiation for grab n go breakfast items.

While the room was clean , the bathroom was not . There was hair in the bathtub drain , floor needs to be bleached and there was a take out container of old food under the bathroom sink. I immediately tossed it into garbage outside .also the swimming pool area was mainly clean but it needs to be skimmed . Staff was friendly at check in .

Basic rooms but the family who run it were very sweet and did little things like turn on the A/C in the room before you arrive, or leave a bottle of water for you. It's a motel, so you don't expect much, any little added touch shows they care about the place, and it is clean and well-run. Would definitely stay there again. Really comfortable beds, too.

It was conveniently located to Galena downtown the rooms were very clean and comfortable they could upgrade the toilet paper they use was very thin and there is no coffee maker in the room but the people that work there I assume they owned it we're super nice and very helpful

We only stayed one night. The bed was very small and not very comfortable l. The bedspread had noticeable stains and the shower/tub had hairs in it. We did enjoy the fire pit and pool. But overall for the cost of $150 a night it was pretty nasty.

The beds are of poor quality, so if you have a bad lower back, your going to be in bad shape. Suggestion, bring a bed topper and your own pillow. You'll be glad you did. Outside pool is pleasant enough to dip in and sunbathe. They have white LED lights in the room, so if you're not a big fan of those (I'm not) you'll have to deal with it. I bought some soft yellow at Walmart to ease the brightness. You're less than 5 minutes from DT Galena. Gas/Convenient store is just down the road. Drugstore is west on route 20, 5 minutes away. Walmart for Everything is 5 minutes-ish.
