My wife and I were staying for a rare weekend away, for a friend's wedding. When we arrived the car park was as good as full, but we managed to squeeze in (during our visit we arrived to no spaces in the car park, so it is definitely pot luck as to whether or not you will be able to park).
We got to our room and found dirty / ripped cushions on the bed, marks (possibly coffee stains) on the wall and ceiling (bizarrely), dirty marks in the plug hole of the shower, and a brown mark on the wall to the side of the toilet (yes, we assumed it was that too). The reception lady was incredibly apologetic, and sorted these issues out herself.
When we ordered room service, we ordered dinner and drinks for each of us and a desert to share. It took a while to be brought up, but 2 very friendly guys brought up our order, except they forgot my wife's food. By the time they arrived back with it, my dinner had gone cold and the lovely evening in together just wasn't the same.
The next day however, we popped down for breakfast and it was like a different place altogether. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, the offering was amazing, and the quality superb.
Overall I would recommend staying here, and we are likely to return. But I'm not sure that it's as premium as it's portrayed.
