Nice room, but very small. On my own it would have been ok, but with 2 people you constantly bump into each other. Staff were friendly. There was not enough room in the breakfast room for all guests, but the breakfast items were very nice. The corridors smell odd. Nice central location. Staff prepared us a take-away breakfast due to our early flight, so that was nice of them. Overall: nice place: some good points and some room for improvement.

The hotel is decent overall. However, in our room there were deep scratches in the floor. Overall it wasn't as clean as I would have expected. The staff were friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet offered a nice selection and there was plenty. If something ran out, they quickly replaced it. The location is good, making it easy to get to transportation. There are museums and shops close by too. If it were not for the overall cleanliness. This would hotel would definitely have gotten a much higher rating.

Outstanding hotel on the northwest side of Oslo. A 10-15-minute walk to the heart of the city. The hotel breakfast buffet was excellent, something to look forward to every morning. Rooms were large and clean. Everyone at the front desk was incredibly helpful and I highly recommend this hotel.

I have stayed at the location multiple times and it is my main choice of Scandic branch in Oslo due to its location close to Nationaltheatret and the surrounding bus stops. Great staff and clean facility. Frøkost is also consistent as with any Scandic location. One thing I wish the St Olavs Plass location did had was a taxi request kiosk which other locations like the Scandic Bergen Byporten has for its local 0700 taxi company.

Great place as a homebase to explore downtown (sentrum) Oslo. Clean, tidy, modern. Staff are very friendly. Breakfast is a highlight you don't want to miss. Skip the eggs/sausages/bacon/potatoes that are clearly there merely to appease the adventure-adverse North American tourists, and do yourself a favour by going straight for the bread, pate, smoked salmon, local cheeses and jams and more. Only odd thing was the king bed had two separate comforters, odd for a couple, but not a problem. Parking downstairs is expensive (450k - 15%), but that's how Europe is, so if you can manage by transit, it's better (we were coming out of a camping road trip, had no choice). That's not a criticism of the hotel - that's normal here. Also the parking entrance is steep and extremely narrow, suited for small cars only. European cities were not built for cars to begin with.
