Brilliant location and the staff were very friendly and helpful but the hotel needs to be refurbished and I think this has started on some of the rooms as I could hear work being carried out. When I read the reviews I was going to cancel but I was glad I didn't it wasn't that bad

It is a beautiful old building in an incredible location right over the road from the castle, the staff were wonderful; helpful, polite and professional, I had a standard room which was actually huge! The bed was very comfortable and clean, it is a very short walk away from loads of lovely cafes and is next door to the Ivy. I would absolutely stay here again

This hotel is all about the location. Room was is serious need of a refresh. Bathroom clean and all worked but sink with rubber plug on the side, bath that was heavily scratched and air con that had been replaced with a fan and plug in machine. Carpets worn. However location amazing and fine for us on a 1 night stop and all we need was a good location. Ask the hotel for cap park discount code and book into the QPark before you arrive. Drop bags and then park. A 5 min walk away. If you have a castle view room you get a great view from above of the changing of the guard as they approach the castle

This hotel can’t be beat for location - right across from the castle. In all the action but still quiet. The price was a pleasant surprise as well. The staff was helpful, storing luggage, an extra teabag, etc. I would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is fairly easy to find (directly opposite the castle) and checking in was easy. The room was clean , a nice size with a shower/bath combo. There was something going on in the function room but the noise didn't travel and I had a nice quiet room and slept really well. Some minor cosmetic issues with the room but nothing big. Good value for it's location and I would definitely stay again.

The hotel was lovely and clean, The 1 staff member I encountered was very helpful. My main issue with this hotel was 2 single beds pushed together to make a double. Was uncomfortable! Although the room was nice and clean it looked like it had been decorated by toddlers. Absolute bodge job of the paint work.
