Accomodation provided us everything we needed for a one night stay. A lovely continental breakfast hamper, clean room and lovely paddock area to exercise our pooch. Only recommendation is for a couple of the wall sockets to include a USB connection.

Tidy, clean and compact accommodation. Everything there that was advertised. We would have preferred a traditional B&B cooked breakfast but that wasn't an option. The alternative continental breakfast provided a good range of items that should suit anyone. Tea bags were a little in short supply (we like our tea!!!) but the owners were happy to be approached and supply extra when asked.

Relaxing stop over

I had a wonderful stay! The room was spotless — everything was immaculately clean and well presented. The surroundings were peaceful and quiet, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. I slept so well and really appreciated the calm atmosphere. I’d definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and tranquil place to stay.

Excellent stay, made to feel welcome.

The room was spacious, the bed was huge and comfy, the bathroom was spotless with a deep bath, shower, and plenty of hot water. Our hosts were warm and welcoming. Having an area outside with our own garden table and chairs was great. Would certainly stay again.

We needed somewhere to stay with our dog and this limits your choices. However, the Golden Fleece was very clean, good supply of refreshments in the room, shower was powerful and hot water plentiful. They even supplied a fan to cool the room, although it wasn't great, it shows a level of care and consideration for guests and was appreciated. The owners we met were friendly and I would definitely consider staying again if we visit the area again. Only negative is they need to remove the cobwebs from the exterior light, which to be fair to them you can't really see during the day, only at night, when they really don't visit the rooms. Other than that the room was well appointed, and mostly importantly clean, plenty of parking and a good expanse of grass for the dog to do what they need to do. Highly recommend if you want a pleasant stay at a very reasonable price. Many thanks to Gregg & Hollie, from Chris & Fiona :)

A good stay

The room was slightly dated, but very clean. On arrival the room was cold, but there was an option to contact the owners to have the heating boosted if required. We were visiting friends nearby so didn't need to do so, and the room was lovely and warm on our return once the scheduled heating had started. Overall, we were pleased with our choice of accommodation

Excellent b&b guest house in rural location

Stayed a couple of nights at Golden Fleece whilst visiting family nearby. I'm extremely pleased to have found such a high quality establishment in the locality. My stay was extremely user-friendly in terms of check-in, check-out, breakfast. I was given the impression that everything had been well-thought through to provide guests with the highest level of customer satisfaction. I cannot think of anything in particular that fell short of expectations. I hope to return.
