Room was clean and it seems like has been renovated recently. However, it is inside the inner courtyard shared by many Sicilian families, so you get the authenticity whether you want it or not. Check in is very siffixult ro so. Everything ia sone over the WhatsUp messaging. The English od the staff is limited. Rooms are not getting cleaned, and you do not get fresh towels even if you stay 4 nights. Although, the location is in the heart of Ortigia, a couple minutes from piazza Duomo. But it would be a nightmare to find it and to get the keys if you arrive the evening.

The place was in the middle of old town. Very close to the "beach"(2 min). Silent at night (heard only nabours who checked-in later in the evening). Some rules for driving in to Ortigia, check busses from there to the train/busstation. Walking distances from hotel to the station is 25 min.

The property was clean and well located, but my stay was far from seamless. From day one, there was no internet and no electricity in the kitchen (risking the food in the fridge), and the next morning there was no hot water because the gas tank had run out. With no concierge or on-site staff, I was guided through WhatsApp to troubleshoot issues myself, which felt unprofessional. I paid to stay at the property, not to resolve maintenance issues. Although someone was eventually sent, each fix took hours, and I lost 3–4 hours daily dealing with problems. The location is good, but I would only recommend this property if they add proper on-site support.

Terrible experience. I arrived at exactly the time I said I would, just before the reception closing time, but there was no-one to let me in and no way to contact them. There was also no way to contact Hotiday, they only have an AI chat bot which provided no assistance whatsoever - there is no way to speak to a human. Hotels.com also have no human assistance available any more, they also only have an AI chat bot which was also no use. I had to find alternative accomodation at 22:30 and I haven't been given any refund nor even an apology. I strongly advise to avoid this hotel and this Hotiday company.
