This place has so much potential. Very cute cabin, but outside area was not as it looked in the pictures. Photos were definitely doctored up to make it seem more secluded, no other house can be seen within those photos. There is a house directly beside, just on the other side of the creek that had 2 dogs running around off leash. Due to the uncertainty of these dogs, we did not stay outside much.
As soon as we walked into the cabin, the smell of a very strong air freshener slapped you in the face, which I had to remove and place outside. It was very damp, and musty. All the doors were sticking when trying to open and close. Once we figured out how to use the thermostat (no instructions within welcome manual) because the temperature had dropped into the '40s overnight, we learned this dampness was due to a 75% humidity level within the cabin. So, waking up cold, and wet was not ideal.
The cleanliness, or lack there of, definitely needs to be taken care of more by the host, and not the guests. "Clean dishes" within cabinets and drawers were dirty, we had to rewash everything we wanted to use. The pot holders hanging on the kitchen widow are covered in dusty and crusty with what I'm guessing is old food. The toiletry items in the bathroom within the jars had mold on the tops of them. The Christmas towels hanging from the racks just above these did not look clean by any means, looked like they hadn't been touched since the previous Christmas.
Again, so much potential.
