As a female solo traveler, I wouldn't stay here if you care about your safety. If you do feel safe enough to sleep, you'll hate your stay because this place is in such bad shape.
First, aside from the keypad, there's no deadbolt or other way to lock the room door from the inside. At the very least, I would expect a slide lock. I had to drag the table in front of the door, so I'd wake up if someone got into my room and could hear them, which meant I couldn't wear earplugs and could hear every sound from 16th Street and hallway.
Second, other guests gave out the door code because, on day 3, there were packages inside the building.
Now, the actual state of the room. I tried to take a shower, but the water was either scalding or off. There was nowhere to hang your towel, and heaven forbid you tried to dry your hair because the hair dryer was literally going to catch fire. Since the front desk is virtual, there's no way to get extra blankets or fans or anything.
It's just very clear that the owners/managers of this property don't care about their guests or the property itself and do the bare minimum to keep it maintained.
