Ratsun Hotel is conveniently located close to the town centre and the airport, which makes it very practical for travel and access to supplies. I would like to share some feedback from my recent stay.
There were a few maintenance issues in the room that need attention. The couch had a tear, and the oven was not working. I do appreciate that a staff member kindly arranged a portable microwave for us, which was helpful. However, the dryer vent also kept coming loose and falling onto the floor during use, which was inconvenient.
We were staying at the hotel during Cyclone Vaianu, and on the night of the cyclone, my partner and I received a call from reception informing us that our rental car had been damaged. The driver’s side window was shattered, and there was a dent near the door handle. Two security staff members on duty that night were very helpful, they assisted me in cleaning the car and moving it to the basement, which I am grateful for.
While cleaning the vehicle, we found that a piece of the Bread Bank signboard from the neighbouring building had landed inside the car. This raised some concern, as there did not appear to be any preventative measures in place for guest vehicles during severe weather.
We had intended to park in the basement earlier, but access was blocked, which left us with no option but to use the open parking area. Given the cyclone warnings, it would have been helpful if guests were advised in advance to move their vehicles to safer parking, especial
