Too many cons- pack your patience

The place was nice. When we arrived the reception desk was overrun with drunk people. It was not even 7pm and the front desk personell didnt acknowledge us or do anything to move the drunks and check us in. The hotel is nice looking. The entertainmemt team is wonderful! The food- lots of options only......we didnt have a single hot meal the time we were there.. the best we had was kind of warm... Serving staff was lovley and attentive. Beach appeared dirty and unkempt Many rude sales people on kayaks..if you buy..they are nice..we said no thanks and he yelled at us. Pools were well maintained but no deeper than 3 feet deep. The beachside and pool activities were fun! The many many LOUD and ABNOXIOUS American people there yelling and shriking and hollaring and swearing was way too much for us..they were everywhere. This is considered the party resort yes....but there is no where to hide from this over the top behavior. LOVE Riu hotels..but i would not recommend this one.
