Re: Itinerary 72163870471498 Calimera Resort refund

To whom May I concern;
I purchased 3 nights stay in Calimera Delfino Resort Spa in Hammamet, Tunisia for November 2-5, 2021 through Expedia.com. They require me to pay in full $ 266.64 using my Master Card ending 8379. I showed up on November 2 afternoon hours and wasn't able to check-in. Hotel was not operative for this time. Security man claimed that hotel is closed for a season. On same day I tried to rebook other nearby hotel via Mobil Expedia Apps. I stayed 3 nights at other hotel located nearby.
Upon returning back to the U.S. I contacted Expedia to explain my experience and demanded refund. Expedia claimed it can't refund money since it was already paid / collected by hotel. Expedia tried to contact hotel but learned that hotel is closed for a season. Expedia claimed that it has no responsibility to collect and I will have to contact hotel directly to collect money.
It surprised me a lot. I have been very loyal customer for Expedia for almost 20 years, and never saw this situation like this. Also I was very surprised how terrible Expedia phone customer service is. A lot of sudden phone disconnections, and all operators don’t know situation that I have to explain all over again and again. They tried all same routine to contact hotel, then said wait for response.
Honestly, I am very disappointed at Expedia service.
