Not as advertised. Pictures look much nicer. This is run down and even when “cleaned” it’s dirty. There were stains on everything and hair everywhere. The virtual front desk can’t help with anything when I arrived past midnight after a day of traveling with kids. The code to the door didn’t work and after telling them 3 times and them assuring me they gave the right code, they finally had me try a different one that finally worked. The ONLY reason we still stayed the night is that there was literally nothing else available at 1am. We got out of the there as fast as possible in the morning.

The illusion of safety
I am going to start by saying that it really looks like the owners are trying to make a nice little boutique hotel. So the 2 star rating is for the effort, not the execution. Safety is the biggest concern. In the daytime it looks like a nice enough neighborhood but when you travel with family you want to know you are locked in safe and sound. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The front gate looks sturdy and has a passcode. The problem is that you can reach through the bars and open the gate from the inside. Then there is a second passcode for the room. This problem is that they do not change the codes per visit. There is no one on site and they text you the codes. We stayed one night each a week apart. I got the texts confused and we accidentally coded into the wrong room. So, the codes are not changed. Anyone that has had the code can get into your room at anytime. When we got to the correct room there were no screens and you could reach through the metal hurricane slats to open the door from the inside without a code. The room was mostly clean but could have used a once over and there was a mustiness that was present in the bedrooms. The bathrooms were nice and clean with excellent water pressure and temperature Overall, however, I do not believe our family would stay here again.

Absolutely awful
I read the reviews before coming so I wasn’t expecting much but it was far worse than expected. I received a text with gate and room codes for check in, no need the front gate lock is broken so we walked right in. So much for security. Next we walked around to our room and immediately upon entering we were hit with the overwhelming smell of paint. There is no front desk and no one answers the phone so we could not ask for a room change. The one small window in the room doesn’t open for ventilation, we were stuck. Everyone in the room had a headache, the smell was so bad. Next were the showers. We had NO hot water. I mean none. Thinking if was just time of day with others showering for dinner (which shouldn’t happen in a hotel anyway) my husband decided to wait and shower before we left for the airport at 4 am- still no hot water. Finally, it is a very noisy place. While this is not the fault of the hotel itself, it’s worth knowing before you book. We were woken up at midnight and again at 2 am by people outside of our room. The room itself was what I expected a bed, tv and ac. Nothing fancy, just a place to sleep. Website said bottled water, we didn’t get any but you can’t drink the water there so plan to pick some up. The shower was pretty moldy looking.

False advertisement, & lack of care
The complex was nice and clean, but there were just a few things that made the experience disappointing. The first one was the false advertisement of the room, the pictures portrayed online were completely different than the ones from the room. It looks like a completely different room and not in a good way. Wouldn’t have bought the room if I knew it was going to be like a tiny coffin, with no window light. The other inconvenience was the refrigerator didn’t work. We could even keep food and drinks cold which really sucked in this Puerto Rico weather. I reached out the room service about this issue but they didn’t even acknowledge the issue or give it any attention. They also didn’t provide us any wash clothes or rags.

Overnight stay
The hotel was very outdated, nothing like the pictures online. Electrical was sketchy. No light outside the door. Apt next to us had a party and was loud. Was a one and done.

Flooded Room/ZERO accountability/damages
The hotel has a pipe burst days before our arrival and our room was flooded while we were out exploring the area. We arrived to a soaking room and floating luggage. They have yet to refund or accept accountability in regards to the added expense of checking another bag (I had to buy another piece of luggage) because water is heavy and I would be 29 lbs over weight on my checked bag. My spouse and I sustained injuries from slipping on the tile in the flooded room and pelican poshtels have yet to agree to take care of our medical bills. I would avoid this property like a plague if possible

I did not enjoy this stay. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable. There was too much background noise. At least it was pretty clean. But the windows and screens looked old. The door did not close properly and felt unsafe.

Communication was horrible. We stood outside the property for 2 hours until we were given the codes to our rooms (which were wrong). I had NO HOT WATER and had to take cold showers every day. There was NO WIFI. They gave a wifi code, but their wifi didn't even show up in the rooms. There was no phone reception in any of the rooms. We had to go outside or up to the roof to get wifi and phone reception. There were multiple different puddles/leaks in my room that leaked onto my clothes. The soap dispensers in shower and by the sink were filled with water, not soap. The blanket on my bed was not cleaned. Grass outside of the facility was severely overgrown. Mosquito infestation. The facility was not taken care of. I texted them every day with no resolution and no response. I wanted to pay to stay somewhere else

Don't let the bargain price fool you! There was no wifi, therefore also no working tv with netflix/hulu, etc. They blamed it on the temp blackout, but even after blackout it still didn't come back. Common area with microwave, etc was closed off. The room itself has no furniture besides a bed & chair, so no desk to rest anything, not even anywhere to rest phone or put clothes. Poor room ventilation caused the floors to remain wet/damp around fridge throughout whole stay. Bed overly soft and not comfy. Personally, I wouldn't recommend staying here longer than a few hrs. It looks nothing like the pics and not comfortable. I also badly injured my foot on the front of bed, so be careful of that area.
