Unfortunately, my first night at this hotel was a disappointing experience from the moment we arrived and parked in front for valet service. There was a long line with six people ahead of me, and it took an hour and a half to check in due to only one receptionist on a busy weekend with events happening in Chicago. I even developed a migraine from the long wait. When it was finally my turn to check in, the receptionist informed me that our room wasn't available because we booked through Hotels.com. After more waiting, I was charged multiple times for the room and valet service. Upon reaching my room, I had to return to the front desk to check in for valet again. While trying to rest and recover from my headache, the closet light turning on and off due to vibrations from neighboring room doors slamming disturbed my sleep. It was an all-around unpleasant experience.
