When we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist was not very welcoming. He looked tired and annoyed, with no smile whatsoever. Our assigned room had a terrible smell, reminiscent of sewage, which was unacceptable for guests. He quickly changed our room, but it was an emergency room that was much smaller than what we had originally booked. The two beds were separated, and he did not offer any help to put them together, nor did he check if the room was ready for guests. Rather asked us to do that!
In the new room, there was only one pillow, used toilet rolls, no floor mats in the bathroom, and no facial tissues. The carpet was quite dirty. I asked for extra pillows, which he should have offered, and he seemed quite annoyed. He begrudgingly gave us two pillows in a rude tone. When I inquired about facial tissues, he said he had no idea and would check the next day. However, the next day, room service still did not replenish the tissues.
Additionally, there was no coffee or tea in the room, and the reception charged €6 for coffee, with nothing complimentary provided.
Breakfast was chaotic, with no bowls, cutlery, or eggs available. We had to wait for these items to be filled. The receptionist was overwhelmed and did not greet us, making us feel unwelcome. For the smaller room, there was no offer of compensation, and no one checked on us the next day to see if we were okay.
I do not recommend this hotel at all.
