Horrible experience, pre-paid reservation missing
Hello,
I had reserved a weekend for 7 of my friends in Helsinki and booked the Radisson Aleksanteri Hotel via Hotels.com. I paid all 7 rooms upon reservation over a month ago.
When checking in on Friday at 6 PM, I was informed by the hotel’s reseption staff that they could not find anything under the hotels.com reservation number. Upon further research, they found 2 out of the 7 rooms with our last names. As I expressed my surprise and the fact that we had a dinner reservation at 7 PM, I was rudely dismissed by the hotel’s reception since ”it’s Expedia’s problem”.
Eventually, they were able to arrange the needed 5 extra rooms but this whole check-in process took over an hour, causing us to miss our dinner appointment.
This was a horrible experience which makes me question whether to use hotels.com again for a hotel reservation.
