We had a great stay here. Close to Isle of Skye. Room was comfortable and breakfast with hot and cold options. Staff friendly and accommodating. Beautiful sunset. Ample parking.

Great Stay

Great base for exploring the Isle of Skye. Stayed here for two nights. The room was clean and in good condition and comfortable. We had a good view of the lake from our room which was beautiful. The bathroom was spacious and clean and very modern. The breakfast was also very tasty! Andrew and Dennis were absolutely fantastic. They were very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. The only thing to have in mind, which by no means is the hotels fault, is the limited dining options around. In particular after 8PM. However, there is a coop very close by that is open till 10PM. We also loved the information about the tradition Scottish tartans they had throughout the hotel.

Very clean and comfortable

This is a very clean and comfortable hotel with very friendly and helpful hosts. Breakfast was very good and we really enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again.

Cute little hotel

Cute little hotel. The room was comfortable. The lobby is nice and spacious but for some reason they lock it at 9:30 pm. A bit of a problem for travellers with jet lag. Breakfast was ok with very diluted coffee. Make dinner reservation around especially if you are there on sunday. Not many choices around and no food to buy at the hotel.

The hotel was very clean , comfortable and finished to a high standard. We were made to feel very welcome by the owner and he was always happy to make our stay enjoyable. The hotel has wonderful views and the lounge and dining room allow you to relax and make full use of the views The breakfasts were also tasty and plentyful.

Brilliant.

Andrew was so kind and welcoming to the beautiful, well equipped, comfy hotel with the best view on the west coast of Scotland. We all want to return so are keen to keep it secret to ourselves but realise that would be mean. Dennis produces a superb breakfast with tales of his Romanian rescue dog Cindy putting all other sheep dogs to shame. Some may worry about the nearby railway line but it’s actually wonderful with only 4 trains a day.

Très bel hôtel, jolie chambre, mais matelas hs

Un bel emplacement avec belle vue, un établissement de charme avec un superbe espace Lounge, mais dommage que les gérants le ferment la nuit, vous empêchant d’y jouer un peu tard. Salle de petit déjeuner un peu froide, mais avec belle vue ; petit-déjeuner correct, mais sans plus. Chambre joliment décorée, salle de bains correcte. Le gros point noir est la qualité de la literie : horrible ! Le matelas à ressorts est mort ! À ce stade, il est impératif de le changer ! Dommage, cela gâche tout le reste : c’est quand même comme le moteur pour une voiture : si le matelas est mauvais, pour un hôtel, c’est dommage ! Remplacez-le, et la note serait à 5 !

Warm Welcome, Good Service, Pleasant Stay

Excellent service, we all(4) slept good/best, the coffee tastes good & we all enjoyed the breakfest :-) The best tip from the hotel: Call the port at Armadale before set off, the ferry was fully booked. A alternative was given to get the Sky-Ferry (Glenelg-Kylerhea). As we were made aware on bad roadconditions, we can state that we have experienced "Brand New Tarmac" all the way down to the harbour ^^ Thank you for the lovely stay and the recommendations.

Great place to stay when visiting Skye

What a great place to stay. We stayed here after a trip around the Isle of Skye. So handy after coming back on to the main land. The hotel itself was excellent value for money. The rooms were modern, comfortable and very well kept. As was the rest of the hotel. Excellent buffet breakfast in the morning too with stunning views from the dining room. Owners were very friendly and couldn’t be more helpful.

Little Gem

We stayed for two nights. The room was very comfortable and exceptionally clean. The hosts were welcoming and friendly and gave us ideas as to where to visit. We did Plockton and Portree before going for the ferry at Uig. Breakfast was plentiful and well presented in the large dining room where one morning we saw the Royal Scotsman train. The views are spectacular in this peaceful quiet spot. Guests are invited to use the spacious lounge room which has comfortable seating and board games, alcohol is BYO, but they will supply the glasses. As you may guess we will return and highly recommend this accommodation.

Perfect in everyway

Our 3 night stay at Tingle Creek was excellent in every way. Very comfortable, clean and a great breakfast. The attention to detail was outstanding. The host was very welcoming and friendly. Overall we had a great stay and the location was perfect for touring Skye and neighbouring areas.

Made to feel at home right from check-in. Owner even carried our suitcase up to the room ! While the hotel did not have full catering, breakfast was truly great. Enjoyed dad giving us lots of valuable information on the area, including Skye. Would recommend to anyone,

Absolutely loved staying here! Out of town so very quiet and safe. They did start music in the lobby at 7:30 am sharp that woke me. Highly recommend this place if you are considering! Very beautiful area.
