Our travel plans for April 2025 included a 10-day stay in Vietnam, where I had booked a property for myself and two friends from 5 to 14 April. Prior to our arrival, attempts to contact the property via the provided Vietnam contact number went unanswered. Concerned, we sought assistance from lastminute.com staff, who confirmed that calls were ringing but remained unresponsive. Trusting that the situation would resolve itself, we proceeded with our trip. According to the booking terms, the property was required to email check-in instructions, including key access details, at least two days prior. However, no such email arrived. Upon our arrival in Hanoi, our taxi driver struggled to locate the listed address—119 Tran Duy Hung Street, Hanoi, 100000 Vietnam. Multiple attempts to contact the property via his phone also went unanswered. With no choice, he dropped us off near the address, leaving us stranded in the rain with six suitcases, no internet, and no phone access. Struggling to navigate an unfamiliar city, we sought help at a nearby hotel but found no available rooms. The receptionist kindly assisted by calling the property owner, but there was no answer. She eventually provided access to Wi-Fi, allowing us to book a room at another hotel. Relieved but shaken, we moved to new accommodations.
Despite ongoing attempts to contact the property throughout our stay, there was still no response. This unacceptable lack of communication and professionalism caused immense hardship!!
