We arrived at the hotel and were greeted by a Sea & Rent representative, only to be told that we were assigned a first-floor roomâdespite specifically booking a garden-level unit with direct access to the garden and pool. When we asked for an explanation, he casually told us the guests in the garden room had decided to stay an extra night. We expressed our frustration, pointing out that this wasnât our issue, and his response was shocking: âIt is what it is. You donât want it? Goodbye!ââand then he walked away to deal with another apartment.
Later, he returned and offered to move us to the correct room the following day. We had no choice but to accept, as we had driven four hours to get there and werenât about to turn around.
When I contacted the facilityâs customer service, they claimed that the room we were given was an âupgradeââwhich was completely untrueâand as a gesture of goodwill, they offered us parking inside the complex. However, when I went to park, my assigned spot was taken, so I parked in the next available space and informed the representative. Apparently, this was someoneâs private parking, and the owner was upset. Shortly after, I received a phone call from the same representative, who yelled at me aggressively, threatened to revoke our parking, refused to listen to my explanation, and eventually hung up on me mid-sentence.
