The first impression was already bad. On arrival, not only that the staff who was handling luggages for an outgoing guests (not sure if he's a bellboy) simply chose to completely ignore us even after he was done with it, we were also met with a strong smell in the lobby that was very unpleasant.
On subsequent days of our stay we found that the staff including the front desk personnel generally avoid eye contact with the guests, let alone smiling at or greeting them.
The hotel is supposed to be new but our room already shows signs of wear and tear, such as chipped paints and balcony door that doesn't lock due to low quality finishing. The bath/shower is the worst of any places we've been, as the placement of the shower head is way too low for a handfree shower, and the tub has no enclosure so the entire floor is wet after each shower (picture attached). This alone made it the least comfortable hotel stay of all.
Adding to that is the non-existence sound insulation, which allows traffic noise, bar music and human conversations to reach our ears late into the night despite being on the top floor.
During our one week stay, we only aked for house keeping once on day 4, but we were disappointed to notice that none of the beddings were changed.
If there is anything to write home about this stay, it must be the unostructed view of the ocean as seen from the couch (see picture). Just don't move torwards the balcony and look down to your left (see picture).
