The rooms were recently renovated and the beds were comfortable, out door pool was lovely maybe needs a bit of lovin but very nice, breafast was delicious and all staff were amazing would I return to this hotel absolutely. Thanks for a lovely stay guys 😊

Perfect crash pad for a weekend away in Devon The night porter is super helpful & welcoming when arriving late at night & takes care to ensure you have everything required for a comfortable stay.

Great to have a pool which we used. All staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was good. Room was nice but hot, a fan was included though. Hotel cannot predict weather.

Very comfortable bed and all staff most helpful, Hotel could do with an update including air conditioning a must if our summers are going to continue to get hotter and of course air conditioning can also be used as heating in the winter instead of out dated gas boilers.

Very dated building and furniture. the mattress was old soft and I could feel every spring. There was a very loud disco on Thursday night that went on until after 11pm. I would not recommend this place and will not return.

Durrant hotel is lovely but a bit dated and tired and could do with a refurbishment. All staff were welcoming and professional. I had a few jnggles with room initially but the staff were excellent in sorting the issues out. Not an ideal place for fully disabled people as lots of stairs and an antiquated lift which takes forever to arrive

The Hotel and the are very dated. The room again was very date, we booked a superior double room but there was nothing superior about it. Small double bed with the oldest soft sprung mattress. Really poor sleep. The light switches and socket location haven been thought about, no USB connections no A/C. NOT SUPERIOR.

We had an overnight stay here for a friend's birthday and really enjoyed our stay , It's not the Ritz as some previous reviewers seemed to expect,but it was clean ,the guy on the reception was friendly and helpful and we managed to use the outdoor swimming pool.An ideal location for what we needed ,

The room and the bed were big, which was nice, but the general look of the room and the bathroom was just okay. Clean, but not pleasing. The hotel looks good in some parts, but other parts are outdated or new and cheap. The pool area felt cut off from the hotel and run down. The pool also didn't feel heated. It was too cold to enjoy, even on a sunny day in July. House keeping skipped our room, which we didn't get any real apology or explanation for. I wish there had a least been a mini fridge in the room. It was a fine enough base for a good price to explore Bideford and the surrounding area, with the bonus of having good parking, but I would consider something closer to the center next.

Hotel was ok. Though tired. Cannot fault the staff though. We eat dinner at the hotel and meal was under whelming. The crab and spring onion croquettes should have been called potato and spring onion croquettes with a hint ( and I mean hint ) of crab meat added! Vegetables on main course were overcooked and completely dried out - most probably due I guess, to being kept warm under heat lamps.
