Mixed feelings about our stay here. The hotel itself and the location are very well positioned.
Onto the positives:
The location is great — right behind some luxury shops and only a short walk into the southern part of the main area.
The staff were genuinely pleasant, always happy to chat or help where they could.
The room is where I ended up feeling mixed. They’re decorated nicely, the bed was comfy, and the bath jets were great. But the layout was a bit strange — not awful, just odd. You walk in and the first thing you see is the sink right next to the wardrobe.
I had a real issue with noise. For any light sleepers or anyone who wants a quiet night, I’m not sure this is the place. The room had this low bass-type noise running through it — no idea what it was, but it was enough to make the bathroom door vibrate.
The aircon/fan was loud as well and didn’t seem to change speed or temperature no matter how much you adjusted it, which made it feel pretty useless.
I also think you have to get lucky with the other guests. You can hear people in the corridors very clearly, and at times it sounded like people were stomping around upstairs.
But the worst bit by far: the room hadn’t been cleaned properly. On the second day, my partner ended up standing on a sharp piece of plastic that was shaped like a shard of glass. It almost pierced her skin — she was just lucky with the way she stood on it. I showed it to the front desk and got a small apology, but that was it.
