Absolutely terrible.
Well, It seems pretty simple that I would make a reservation for the day I am checking in, which technically was Friday. The fact that neither you nor Motel 6 will refund what amounts to around $60 is absolutely ludicrous given the situation. A 10 year old could follow the details on how we could get to a place where a reservation was made in good faith thinking this was the way to do it (wrong day)...It's noy like I cancelled my trip or stay. I was sitting in the parking lot of the Motel 6 making the reservation before I walked in. I just paid for Thursday (even though it was technically Friday) once I was told I booked the next day on line (it was after midnight).
Seriously, is this how you run your businesses? I simply booked the day prior to the one I needed by accident thinking it was the right day.
Big corporations shouldn't be able to screw people over like this.
So, pretty bad experience. Terrible customer service and what really feels like low-level fraud.
