Only the location was good — disappointing service and experience
I stayed at Esqina Urban Lodge in Lisbon and unfortunately, the only positive thing I can say is that the location was great. The service was very poor. The staff were generally unfriendly, and when I lost my vest in the room (which I never even wore outside), I asked multiple staff members for help. I had to repeatedly follow up myself because no one got back to me unless I asked. The only update I ever received was, “We’re waiting for the cleaning staff to respond,” and nothing more. It felt like no one was actually trying to help.
This happened on my second day, and since I never had the room cleaned and the space is extremely small, there aren’t many places something could just “go missing.” The room itself was tiny with almost no privacy — I did book the smallest option, but the pictures online were definitely misleading.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel unless location is your only priority.
