I booked a standard room, which was described as having a living area, kitchen. And private bathroom.
I was shocked to find that the kitchen and living space was common, to be shared among 3 rooms. This was not mentioned anywhere on the booking site. What was worse was that the entry to the bathroom was through the common living space, not through the bedroom. The hotel manager insisted that this was a private bathroom. They refused to change the room. I felt unsafe staying in such an accommodation, but the management was rigid and uncooperative. It was late at night, I had no option but to stay in the room provided, but I was too frightened to use the bathroom in the night. I couldn't even have a bath as I would have had to walk in the common area to get to my room. I am surprised that there was no clarity in the description given on the website, and maybe it was a deliberate attempt to fool the public. Next day, after several hours of arguments, I was given a room with an attached bath. I also saw 2 other people fighting at the reception; though they had booked rooms earlier, they were asked to go elsewhere as there were no rooms available
