"Overall the property was good but a bit small in area and the room AC was not efficiently working. Food options were limited and it’s a little too inside the jungle with no where to go other than the resort itself. "

"Terrible stay . Very poor service . some staffs are very rude . They called us around 10 am and told us to vacant the room at 11 am . When I asked them but your time of check out is 12 pm then how can you ask for check out. How can you talk to your guest like that then they told me we have 11 am check out rule. I show them Hotels.com app but here it’s reflecting 12 pm and I ask for one hour extension for check out then after lot of argument they allow us for two rooms instead of four rooms because we had booked four rooms there. I don’t think this is value for money. But food is good. Location wise it is also very good but they don’t have river side . "

"The location of the hotel and the first floor room made the stay unforgettable. You can see the Ganga flowing silently from your bed as you wake up everyday. The breakfast was sumptuous and if you need more just tell the chef. He is delighted to please every customer. This is rare. Giruji Arpanah was excellent during the morning yoga classes and evening meditation session. Thank you Guruji for the teachings and guidance. Last bit not the least it was the best high tea iI have seen yet. Pakoras a gogo accompanied with nice masala chai. This boutique hotel is a gem. Cheers to All The Staff."

"This is a great place in Tapovan to stay. The property has very beautiful and has amazing views. The staff is very courteous and friendly. I loved their high tea. Food is great too. I highly recommend this place if you are going to spend time in Rishikesh. The only con here is, the alleyway for this place is extremely narrow and only a single car can come at a time, otherwise this place is a 10/10."

"Good clean hotel but entrance of hotel is in the narrow lane bit tricky, housekeeping service bit slow, restaurant food was good. Main door of the rooms had some problem as one has to bang the door hard to close. Located in busy area..there is one good rafting office opp to this hotel..overall not bad..."

"The wifi was pathetic, no internet on the wifi whatsoever, even I have to get addition data packs on my airtel network to use the internet at night, but then too, airtel signal is also very weak in there. I have not seen such bad wifi network in any 5* hotels I've stayed, please spend some money and upgrade your wifi/speeds as this is not cheap hotel and people expect good wifi, specially when travelling. We booked classic room as it was only available at that time. The room was good, service was ok as well. Parking facilities are good. Location is little up the slopes on the road which gets heavy traffic during peak hours."

"A little gem, hidden away but close to the river. Staff friendly and even organised flowers and a cake for my birthday with my husband in Australia. Room clean, breakfast delicious. I had a wonderful stay for 3 nights."

"Very nice property at the Ganges, around 200 steps down but a steep climb. Food was exceptional and service as good. Very nice breakfast and great service standards! The rooms are not designed properly, even a hair dryer doesn't have a socket in the washroom or next to any mirror. Very stringent on their rules which may rightly suit them but can be quite hard on the guests. Adjacent to road hence even at night the cars sound etc is very loud in the rooms. Very nice bar and good cocktails offered. Expensive overall. Cant directly easily spot the ganges from the rooms / property however a little walk down and voila you are inside the river! We did an aarti at the ganges with all friends and was very scenic! Some of us did a yoga session at the poolside and was quite serene. Location is away from main city rishikesh hence away from the hustle and bustle. Taj Anand Kashi just 5 - 10 mins drive away."

"The Team at hotel Mahadev Rishikesh was very nice and accommodating. The manager even went out of his way to help in matters outside of the hotel and I highly recommend this hotel. Plus, it is steps away from Neem Karoli Baba’s temple which was very nice. Oh, and they cook very delicious food as well!"
