A very nice stay in The Queensbury Hotel
Me and my daughter had a very nice 4 night stay in The Queensbury Hotel. The room was on the third floor and with the high ceiling on lower floors it was a bit of a cardio training to carry the luggage up there but this was very clear from the hotel information so there was no surprise there.
The room was simple and very clean. The bathroom with a bathtub looked shiny, only complaints I have are it took me a while to figure out the light switch in the bathroom, the light for the mirror didn't work and there was very little water pressure so the shower was not the greatest. Wifi worked perfectly, TV had quite a few channels to chose from, we were offered fresh towels every day and probably would have gotten our room tidied if we wouldn't have been in it when the housekeeping was on their rounds. The mattress suited my sensitive back very well, duvet was warm and two pillows per bed which is one of the first things I usually check.
The hotel is less than 5 minutes from the shopping center and main street and Argos and Primark are right there, we found some very nice restaurants in the aeria, there is clearly a lot of partying in Brighton on weekends but after closing the window the hotel was quiet. I would't mind coming back and staying in one of the superior rooms in summertime sometime, I got a look in one when it was being cleaned and it looked very interesting.
