Never received the access information from the property owner so was not able to stay at the reserved property. At the time there was no owner property contact info listed. Stuck without a place to stay, we called Expedia, who provided a phone number for the property. The person answering the phone said they had no property at the specified address. Expedia attempted to reach the owner themselves that night, with no luck. They offered to find another property at no extra charge, but by that time it was so late we had found another place ourselves. In a later follow up, Expedia was able to contact the property owner, who said they never received the reservation from Expedia. Expedia then refunded our money. They are also checking to make sure this is not a scam. So if it was Expedia's fault, they made us whole, and hopefully others who stay at this place can give it good reviews. If it's a scam, I assume the listing will be removed promptly, and hopefully the perpetrators caught.
