The staff- doorman, front desk to housekeeping- phenomenal. Personable & friendly. Except the individual who was responsible to help check me out, no one else to be attended to yet he was so engrossed in his personal conversation on his phone.
We did experience but didn’t bother asking some really uncomfortable allergy symptoms during our 2 week stay. We found a workaround but for the amount we paid and duration, this shouldn’t have been an issue at all- we have been all over the world- Singapore, Rome, Japan, Vegas, you name it. Whenever we tried to turn the heater up, beyond 70 degrees F, my guest and I would either have coughing fits or allergy like symptoms- congestion, runny nose, you name it. We figured by night 2, it wasn’t worth waking up sinuses activated, to just deal with the room being 70 degrees, it was a heck of a lot warmer than outside. We couldn’t tell if it was their dusty/old headboard or poor recycle air circulation/HVAC system.
Again for the duration we stayed, our sheets were not changed once. Tidied, indeed, but changed, not once. Maybe it’s just me, but can hotels really not afford disposable shoe slips for their housekeeping staff so they’re not “cleaning” with sneakers that walked who knows where and who knows what?
Breakfast was mediocre- limited selection and not replenished despite more than hour left with service. Had better from low tier hotel chains- this was disappointing.
