The location was amazing! So close to everything. Definitely worth a one night stay. The rooms were huge and spacious basically your own cabin. The amenities how ever not so great for what they caharge. You dont have wifi in your cottage you have to got back to the main house where you checked in which is down the road. The beds are pretty hard and the tv only gets one station. Other than that it was a great stay. Also the geysir center is the best place to grab food for your buck. Becarful tho they say they close at 8 but the kitchen closes at 7

This is the best little place. We saw the Northern Lights and could watch from the windows. The little campers are the cutest and had everything we needed. This is a little gym in the middle of Iceland.

Surprising Little Gem
These are duplex cabins right across fro the geysir so that is what attracted me to stay there my first night after arriving from the west coast of the US. I think it was a little better than expected actually because it was really cute inside, the bed was comfortable, there was a tv for those that want it, and The only thing it did not have was WiFi in the room, and although I had a little work to do it was nothing I didn’t enjoy putting off for a day! No WiFi was a treat. They do have it in the lounge in the main building though if you really need it. Grab two for one beers at happy hour and relax in the lounge for a bit. Breakfast was also good, and although my rate did not come with it I went ahead and bought the buffet. Very pleasant and satisfying. All in all I would definitely choose this place again.

Good place to stay
The locations is excellent - just across the road from the geo thermal area. Good amount of parking and several restaurants/cafe within a very short walk. The cottage was fine. Good views from the window and front porch. Would have been nice to have chairs outside to sit on. Main issue was WiFi was only available at the bar 5 minute walk away. There was a brief power cut which meant lights and shower etc didn’t work. We enjoyed our stay.

Nice room poor housekeeping
Large room, table & 2 chairs, desk and chair. That part was good. Housekeeping was not so good. There was lots of coffee, tea, hot cocoa, sweetener, cups, etc but nothing to stir with. In the bathroom there was only one hand towel, no wash clothes and no floor mat. The store there did not have the items that were missing in the room that we needed.

Geysir Cottage stay
Excellent stay at the Geysir Cottages. Very clean, very helpful and friendly staff. We ate dinner at the Geysir Restaurant and it was one of the best meals I ever had anywhere. The breakfast buffet in the morning was excellent, both cold and hot breakfast offerings. The Geysir is across the street and a 3 minute walk. Our cottage was cozy and comfortably accommodated my wife, my son and myself. The staff prepared the sofa bed in advance and it was a very comfortable sofa bed. My family and I would definitely stay here again.

Great location for exploring the Golden Circle
The cottage has everything you need if you are using it as a base for exploring, which is what I'd expect if you're visiting Iceland. The cottage was clean and tidy and the staff friendly and informative. Others reviewers mentioned no wifi but a 3 minute walk to the hotel gets you free wifi and free coffee - if it takes you 10 you've gone the wrong way. Not sure if the television in the room worked or not, we just opened the curtains and looked at the views! We were also on honeymoon so watching television wasn't really a priority! Fill you boots at breakfast, (which means eat loads) - lots of choice and fresh, good food and not overly expensive. Don't go expecting 5 or 4 star accommodation - it's a very nice basic cottage with a good firm bed and powerful shower and for us that was all we needed after a day out and about. The location is ideal with lots of things on your doorstep plus, if you're willing to drive a bit further, most of the Golden Circle can be explored. Do your research, plan your days and you're sorted, great place to have as your base camp. We would happily stay there again.

No WIFI in the cottages. Breakfast is around $25 so we opted out. They did have instant coffee and tea in the room with a hot water heater. You can walk to the gesyers

Inconvenient Stay
Reception did not have good information of the cottage. Breakfast is a 10 minute walk from the cottage, at another hotel. TV reception was bad . The worst to happen is that WIFI is not available at the cottage. You have to walk to the breakfast place for WIFI. Plus point is it is walking distance to the Geysir.

While I wasn't expecting luxury, I was disappointed by the cottage. On the plus side, the cottages are nicely located and spacious, and the beds were clean and comfortable. But our first impression when we walked in was a musty smell, probably from the bathroom. And while there are a couple of chairs to sit on, the upholstery looked so dirty we were reluctant to sit on them. A little bit of effort would make these cottages really nice.

Great location but I'll stay somewhere else.
This is my third visit to this hotel. Twice in the cabins and once in the main building. The room is nice enough but since the cabins are duplexes (side by side) the adjoining wall is very thin and we end up next to a group who wants to party all night. The cabin is dated and the bathroom was in poor condition. Next time I'm in Iceland I will choose somewhere else.
