The Yoda Guy Movie Exhibit is a nonprofit "Star Wars"-themed museum run by one of the puppeteers who created Yoda and offers a look at real movie props and effects. The Butterfly Farm is a small attraction, but one you're sure not to forget at this open-air netted park with waterfalls, colorful flora, and thousands of fluttering butterflies. You'll get a guided tour through the park to learn about how plants attract these beautiful flying insects and about the lifecycle of a butterfly from caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly. If you're lucky during the tour, you might even have a butterfly land on you to say hello.

Fort Amsterdam offers the chance to explore the ruins of a Dutch stone fort dating to the 17th century with stone walls and ramparts, and astounding harbor views. The fort is in a state of disrepair but is still one of the more popular attractions in Sint Maarten for the incredible harbor views. You can still see several real cannons dating to the 19th century as well as informational plaques about the history of the fort.
The fort is a registered historical site and is an important breeding ground for brown pelicans. It's a great place for kids to run and play while adults capture photographs of fantastic Caribbean vistas. The fort is located just outside of Philipsburg.
