The accommodation has a ground floor and first floor.
The archway follows the length of the terraces where the cereals used to be dried and cover the old workshop where the candles were made - the century-old household family business waiting to be revived.
At ground level the accommodation takes in the pool and the shower area, external toilets, barbecue area, the ramps for disabled people up to the car park.
The barbecues are one in-built and for smaller parties and one portable.
The living accommodation is comprised of seven double bedrooms with bathrooms en-suite, and separate bathrooms, accessible to wheel chairs.
It also has separate seating and working areas, spread out across the house, where you can watch Tv, work on your computer, or simply lie on a hammock and read a book.
The kitchen is new and it was built by the arches and there is a wood stove by the B-b-q area for pizza and bread making.
The house is situated at the bottom of the Poiares valley and its Portuguese name is "casa dos Arcos" - the House of the Arches. The church bells start chiming at 7am and finish at 9pm. You soon get used to them but they might wake you the first day and give you a chance for an early dip before you set out for the day.
