Nice cabin, bad location and service
No one in the office upon arrival. Had to call the manager who said the key was in the cabin. The A/C was not working, it was over 80F, called manager, left voice-mail, never heard back from him. The cabin inside was nice and rustic, the bed comfortable, there was no coffee pot or any other items in the cabin. No toiletries. The location is not good and the outside of the place is dirty and dusty. All in all we were disappointed.

Nur eine Nacht gebucht (auf der Durchreise). Die Unterkunft war gut ausser dem WiFi das in der Cabin nicht funktioniert hat. Dafür war das Office offen und der Internetempfang war super. Speziell zu erwähnen ist die Hilfsbereitschaft der Dame am Frontdesk zur Lösung unseres Autoproblems.

The cabin we rented did not have soap. It's a good thing we had a bar of soap in our toiletry bag. Check in was a key left on the dresser and an open door. Check out the next morning was to leave the key on the dresser and the door unlocked. That was new.

We enjoyed our stay in the Horseshoe Lodges cabin. The check in and check out process was quick and easy. The staff was kind and responsive. The cabin was clean and comfortable. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Our daughter lives in Midland and we have been staying elsewhere but the prices keep rising. We started looking for campgrounds and found Horseshoe. The cabin was incredibly clean, very comfortable and spacious. It was quiet for being near I20. Easy check in and check out. We will definitely be back on our next trip down to see family. If you know Midland, it is in the desert, so knowing that information helps to know what to expect.

Easy for a quick stop on my road trip. Rooms are cute and clean, like your own tiny home. This was a first for me.

The place was very dirty. There was dust bunnies all over above the stovetop on the wall. The bed frame was full of dust and dirt. Lots of weeds everywhere. Camp Trailers attached to the back of the cabins. There was toothpaste flung on the wall in the bathroom. They do not clean unless you ask them to come clean. Fingerprints still on the outside of the fridge. The laundry room was just as dirty. The folding table had small ants all over and there was dust bunnies everywhere. If you are an oil rigging employee you would feel safe but for a woman traveling alone it is not a good spot. Way outside of midland and Odessa. So not a very convenient location. Wish I would have rented a hotel. The WiFi was down the whole time and so had to go buy a hotspot so I could use my laptop to run my business.

Not recommended
Unmanned facilities, basically a skid-type portable building made into a rental. Standup shower and bathroom sink dripped all night. Electrical plugs very few and improperly located. One stool for sitting. One of the beds springs are shot, when you lay down on that side it rolls you to the floor. They advertise breakfast drinks, this is water and kuireg coffee machine with 2 types of pods. The advertise a kitchen but no kitchen equipment, who travels with those items? NO ONE!

Very Pleasant Stay
I had a last minute trip on a budget. I was looking for someplace cheap. Well, this place is not cheap. Affordable? Yes, but not cheap. I was very impressed with what I got for the price. The room was functional, comfortable, roomy, and above all it was CLEAN! The towels were soft and smelled clean, the sheets smelled clean, everything was how it should be. This is not a romantic weekend kind of place, but if you need a clean comfortable room for a reasonable price, this is perfect.

So check out is at 12 we requested a late check out and the person upfront was calling me since 12 from not even the property’s phone number I’m assuming it’s his personal number. Well he called and I informed him my husband was in the room to go ahead and wake him up he informed me that my husband told him he might be extending which I could not be on the phone as I was at work. So after I told him go ahead and wake him up because he works nights and he’s probably sleeping he proceeded to let him stay in the room which is really on them well at 2:30 the man calls my phone again and states that he was going to call the authorities because my husband left hours past check out which it was an hr past the late check out that was requested and the person from the front stayed arguing with me over the phone just very unprofessional and rude. I advised him that I was not the one who stated I’d be paying I told them to knock and tell my husband it was check out because he probably over slept from working late. Very unprofessional to call me and be harassing me with other charges and to harass me with calling the police over leaving the property an hr past the late check out he was guaranteed.
