My fiance and I decided on a quick 4-day-weekend getaway and chose RIU Latino. Our stay was great overall!
Pros: NEW resort opened in 2022, 5 different pools, connected to a beautiful private beach, 2 swim up bars, EXCELLENT and KIND service, very clean, felt extremely safe and secure, was a quiet area, multiple different restaurant options, had 5 different water slides, a gym and a spa.
Cons: There wasn’t room service available, area outside of resort isn’t very walkable—would need a vehicle to get to town for shopping etc, after 10:30pm, there is limited food options available. The resort had a sports bar with a fridge of reheatable sandwiches, burritos, burgers, etc.
The resort was great with a variety of populations—there was an older crowd of retired adults, the young crowd of adults wanting to party, couples, and everything in between. The food was a solid 7/10–not spectacular cuisine to rave about but there were LOTS of options and it was still yummy/good. The Italian restaurant was by far our favorite. The service here is truly top notch as each of the staff was SO KIND.
