What you need to know before you go

West Sussex is a great place to escape the city life, thanks to its dramatic coastline and ancient woodland, as well as historical landmarks. Miles of walking and cycling paths cut through river valleys and rolling hillsides in the South Downs National Park – great for staying active during your visit.

Coastal towns like Worthing and Bognor Regis have a relaxing pace of life, though windsurfing and kiteboarding are readily available if sunbathing isn’t your cup of tea. Sightseeing comes in the form of grand structures such as Wakehurst, Arundel Castle and Chichester Cathedral.
